June 27 - July 2 - Workshop on the Holy Rule of St. Benedict
Director: Father Vincent Tobin, O.S.B. from St. Meinrad Archabbey, IN
St. Benedict is the Abbot and Founder of all Benedictines. He was born in 480 and died in 547.
His Benedictine Rule was adopted throughout Europe and gave him the title of Patriarch of Western Monasticism.
His Holy Rule is an outstanding guide to teach all, especially religious communities,
how to live in service to God and to neighbor. Monastic Living, with the Holy Rule of St. Benedict, takes the
principles of Holy Scripture and applies them to everyday life. St. Benedict's memory is celebrated on July 11th.
